Late summer in Michigan brings a plentiful harvest of tomatoes and peppers from our garden. One of my favorite things to make with the abundance is fresh salsa! It is a quick and easy way to add flavor and color to any meal. Try it on eggs for breakfast, or with a goat taco and margarita for dinner!

You can use any kind of tomatoes to make fresh salsa. I use a combination of what is ripe in my garden including roma, beefsteak, and cherry tomato. If you want a milder salsa, you can use less jalapeno or substitute green bell pepper instead.
